Banana Splits

Unknown maker Est. 1920-30's

I have no idea what these banana splits are but I am guessing that it was some kind of boxed candy. This machine vended a flat, rectangular box or package of some kind for an old, large, British penny. I would place this machine in the 1920's or 30's era based on the price.

One unique thing about this machine is where the coin goes. You put the coin in a slot just behind the pull handle instead of a regular coin slot somewhere on the face of the machine. I have only encountered one other machine with a coin entry like this; the Southalls Sanitary Towels.

This is an all original machine that works well.
