Simpson Marquees

R. D. Simpson Co. c. 1920's

This is not a gumball or peanut machine. So you ask; why is it here? They are actually parts to a Simpson machine. They are marquees to the Simpson 1-2-3 "Famous Leebold". This is a one of a kind item that I wrote an article about for the COCA Times magazine, a magazine for members of the Coin-Op Collectors Association. I will give you the short version here and provide a link to the full article.

This is a partial mold making tree that was used to create the sand molds at the factory that produced the marquees for the 1-2-3. I bought this from a guy over the internet that was cutting them off and selling them separately. When I found out that he had this I told him to stop cutting them off and sell me the whole thing. At the time I was into Simpson machines almost exclusively and this was a tremendous find that fit well into my collection.

This is a one-of-a-kind all original.
