Simpson Model A

R. D. Simpson Co. c. 1920's

The Simpson Model A is the big brother to the Simpson Jr. It is a cast iron bulk vendor that has a great look. You may notice that the globe has a blue tint. I have only seen a few of these machines and most have had this color globe. My belief is that Simpson used a different glass maker for a short time and the globes that they got from them had a blue tint and when they returned to their normal glass company they made them clear again. The other theory would be that they made them blue on purpose for some reason; but if that were the case, why did they do it and why then change to clear.

This one is all original. I have some suspicions about the paint but I think it is original also. The decal is really neat.
