Neko

Neko Co. c. 1930's

The Neko is a really neat little vendor that has a pull chain mechanism. This machine is deceptively heavy for its size due to the thickness of the sheet metal and the cast iron base and top. They probably figured that the weight had to be substantial so that you wouldn't pull the machine over when you pull the chain to get your product. These came in two types, a single machine as pictured above and a double machine which consisted of two identical machines hooked together by a double top and base plate.

This is one of the nicest all original examples that I have come across. The paint is better than any I've seen. The only part of this machine that is reproduction is the label.
